On the Edge
of Infinity

I’ve been writing this black & white book for some time, from a child’s & then a parent’s perspective. The story evolves around five children, their struggles and perception of a futuristic world, dominated by adults and their struggles and their perceptions. Hopefully,when finished, it might be helpful for someone, who struggles with finding a meaning in life, but is still curious enough about the world & it’s secrets. I’d like to push it a bit further & illustrate it too. The writing part is not finished yet. So far, I gravitate towards this style, but it would be cool to have feedback & tips..

The main character in the book is a striped sock called Larry. He is hidden in a shoe all the time, so he does not see much from the outside world. He hears all the interesting stories from other clothes and dreams about an adventure. One day, he accidentally finds himself in the city, which he wanted to see so much. Suddenly though, he feels very small and vulnerable. He is hiding until he finds a friend, who helps him to become stronger and more confident. The book is about the importance of friendship, showing children that your dreams may come true.

ByDesign is an interior design studio in Prague. The main aim behind the creation of this brochure was to present the architects' work and enthusiasm in a printed form. The logo on the cover is cut out into the shape of a flower, revealing a glossy silver-beige paper underneath. Some pages are slightly larger and folded, offering close-ups of objects and textures. A few quotes and floor plans are printed on a tracing paper, thus creating a nice interaction between pages.
